Our trip this year started out just Rich & I.  We spent the first week in Aruba (of our two week time share) without any guests.  The second week his mom & her husband (Doreen & Tom) joined us.  Needless to say, we all had a terrific time!!

Frequent flier tickets are nice things, but sometimes they can take their toll.  These two did not arrive friday night until after 9:00.  They left about 9:00 a.m.  They did manage to "do a little work" for their job on their few hour layover in San Juan - at least it wasn't a total waste.  Next time I'd wager they fly a little more direct!  At least they made it to the hotel via taxi ok on their own!

Then again, with weather this great and a view this terrific - who wouldn't have a good time!!

During our first week in Aruba, we discovered the Metacorp the owners of the resort had taken bids on running the resort - Sonesta did not win.  Marriott (or rather Renaissance) did.  The signs were taken down from the hotel while we were there.  Alex has a funny story about the one coming down on this end.  His room is the second from the right at the very top on the end - just below the sign.  Needless to say he never saw any reason to keep his drapes closed until the guys on the cherry picker waved!
