With the resort so close to town - of course we had to wander when we weren't relaxing in the sun.

Now, the Florin is a very cool coin.  Mom & I had to make sure to bring home one of each - especially the square ones!  Most places will take american dollars, but still give out florins for the change.  This makes sense.

Though the casinos take American coins for the slot machines.  Mom & I found a couple nickel slot machines that were alot of fun.  Like none we've ever seen.  Sometimes in the evening we'd leave the men and head to the casino for a little bit of entertainment at our fun slot machines.

Just about every morning, dad or mom & dad would walk to the harbour (right outside the hotel) to check out the boats, and watch the cruise ships dock.  There were cruise ships in and out every day.

One thing not lacking in Aruba is the "wildlife" there are iguanas, geckos, and pelicans everywhere.  They are fairly friendly (not agressive).  And seem to like to pose for photos!

In the building with the gold dome behind us in the photo - there is an internet cafe.  We used that to keep in touch with home (check-up on everyone).  The red roofed building (behind the red catamaran in the right corner) is a restaurant called "The Paddock".  We ate dinner there quite a few nights.  They have nightly specials (like wednesday all you can eat ribs).  THe prices were reasonable and the food was terrific, plus you get to watch the world go by!

We are just very simple people!  We even ate a Wendy's for lunch or Sbarro's pizza.  We never did go to a movie (nothing good playing) - though the theater is also part of the resort complex.  We just like to have fun and be ourselves!
