Our time share is located at the Sonesta Resort in downtown Aruba.  It is a great place to stay.

Our room sleeps 4, has a kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking the pools & the ocean.

We can easily walk to the 2 resort casinos, or shop downtown.

We don't have to have a car - though we like to have one to roam around the countryside on our own.

Barb & Alex have a new timeshare (we bought theres) at the end of the building on the top floor (see 2 photos up).  Every night they are in their room they can witness a beautiful sunset.  (I only got 1 photo - the day we were there my camera needed more film!  The sun sets so fast its easily missed!)

By far, the best part of Sonesta, is that it has its own private island.  From the hotel you take a shuttle boat to the private island.  We spent alot of time relaxing there.

Dad could even be found relaxing and reading on the island (and at the room).  The island has raft & other rentals, a store, and a restaurant with beach waitress to bring you any refreshments you might want.  Using your room "card" you can charge any purchases to your room - so there is no need to carry alot of money with you while within the resort propery.
