Day 42

Thursday, June 25th

  Every exit door must have at least a 3' by 3' landing.  Dad made ours today for the garage entrance door.  He was going to start on the entry way closet, but then the building inspector came for the rough in inspection.       He said everything was SUPER except that the trusses didn't have any HURRICANE clips on them.  "Hurricane"?  Hmm... don't recall having many of those in Michigan.  Oh well.. Dad went and got them and put them on.  We should have that final approval tomorrow.     On Monday the Well guy (B&B in Leonard) came and installed the water tank in the subgarage.  Dennis the electrician wired in on Tuesday.  Today the Plumber Chuck Adams, flushed all the pipes to make sure he didn't have any leaks (he didn't).     The Plumber also put our faucet handles on the jacuzzi, they work great.  Trust us we know, before we knew he had flushed all the pipes with water we slightly turned them... a bit of water started out.  Oops.  The 'spout' is a built in waterfall in the corner (to the left of the handles in the wall corner) of the tub.  Although we still had to buy the faucet spout with the handles.  Oh well.       We helped Dad unload some 12" block to add to the retaining wall on the side of the sub garage.  Its one way to ensure that hill doesn't collapse!   The insulation is getting delivered tomorrow, so that will start this weekend.  The drywaller Terry is still coming Tuesday or Wedneday.  I called today to get Edison to come out and hook up the electric and also the phone company.  So we're moving right along.      Day One - May 12 Day Two - May 13 Day Three - May 14 Day Four - May 15 Day Five - May 16 Day Six - May 17 - NOTHING (no work done) Day Seven - May 18 - NO PHOTOS Day Eight - May 19 Day Nine - May 20 Day Ten - May 21 Day Eleven - May 22 Day Twelve - May 23 (May 24-25th Vacation - days won't count) Day Thirteen - May 26th -& Day Fourteen - May 27th NO PHOTOS Day Fifteen - May 28th Day Sixteen - May 29th Day Seventeen - May 30th Day Eighteen - May 31st Day Nineteen - June 1st Day Twenty - June 2nd Day Twenty One - June 3rd Day Twenty Two - June 4th Day Twenty Three - June 5th Day Twenty Four - June 6th Day Twenty Five - June 7th Day Twenty Six - June 8th Day Twenty Seven - June 9th Day Twenty Eight - June 10th Day Twenty Nine - June 11th - News/No Photos Day Thirty - June 12th - CONSUMER ALERT Day Thirty One - June 13th Day Thirty Two - June 14th Day Thirty Three thru Thirty Five - June 15th to June 17th Day Thirty Six & Day Thirty Seven -June 18th & 19th Day Thirty Eight - June 20th Day Thirty Nine - June 22nd Day Forty - June 23rd Day Forty One - June 24th Day Forty Two - June 25th   We've begun buying tile and have our carpet picked out:  INTERIOR   If you haven't looked at the plans... go here:  PLANS
