Day 68
Tuesday the 21st of July
First of
all we want to THANK all you VOLUNTEERS FOR your time and help. We
absolutely appreciate it a ton!!
Thank you
Tom, Mike & Nicole for the help on Saturday!
Thanks Mom,
Tom & Cheryl for the help on Tuesday!
We did a TON of trim work on Saturday (and sunday).
On Monday, Rich & I did a ton of running around. We were
still at the house at midnight!
Tuesday we were home by 10:00 (believe it or not)
On Monday, the cabinets were begun to be put in. Looks pretty
good so far.
Also, Dennis and his guys put in a TON of lights and fans (not
to mention, outlet cover, phone jacks, etc)
This is our out side garage lights. The front and back lights
are similar only smaller. These are cultured stone, guaranteed not
to corrode, tarnish, peel, etc.
This is the dining room light. The kitchen light (you can
make it out above) is similar, only the dining room has five halogen lights,
the kitchen only has three.
This is the first floor bath. Larry set some of the vanities
as well. This one he even put the sink top on.
This is looking down the hallway from the garage to the hall outside
the kitchen/greatroom. The sconce (on the left) matches the doorbell cover
(on the right) you can also see the smoke detector on the ceiling.
Joe and Larry's son Justin have been working on putting up the
stone front. It is very time consuming, and especially hard when
it is this hot. It looks SPECTACULAR though. Each stone piece
has to be individually chosen and placed to fit.
An overall view of how it looks.
This is the recessed lighting in the great room.
Here is Rich's Mom painting the doors. Tom and she helped
us out for quite some time today, they got a good chunk of the doors painted.
Thanks guys!
While they were doing that Cheryl and Rich were sealing (polyeurthane)
the door jambs.
Here is the second floor hall looking toward our bedroom.
Here is the second floor bath, Bob & his guys (Mike & Dave)
got this one and the one in basement tiled today, but by the time I got
around to takign pictures it was too dark in the basement to see it (they
haven't done those lights yet).
Here is the fan in our bedroom. I like the look of it!
Yesterday Rich took off work to do the 'running' today it was my
turn. And unfortunately, I'll have more to do tomorrow, today it
was warren/detroit and almont a few times, tomorrow it will be saginaw
and utica hopefully i'll get some painting of the doors done the rest of
the day!
