Day 75

Tuesday the 28th of July

  Sorry we've been so bad . . . but we've been BUSY like you wouldn't believe.  Here's the newest photos: On Friday Rick Bartley came and began to install the Pergo flooring.  He came back and finished on Saturday.     He also laid the carpet in the great room.     The front center bedroom.     And the back bedroom.   He is coming back Thursday and will do our bedroom, the other bedroom, and maybe more depending on the seams, etc.     Bob got the tile finished in the basement bath.  Looks pretty good I must say!     And the cabinets/sinks/toilets & faucets are all finally in and operational.  Today was the first day we could get water other than the hose!     The first floor bath has pergo in it, and is done also.     The upstairs 2nd bath is done as well.  This is the front half of it.     Today dad put in the septic.  The health inspector was by yesterday to discuss its location/size.  I was running errands and didn't get to take pictures until they were covering up the lines.     Its a lot of work to make sure the stone is pretty even throughout, above Rich & Dad are shoveling and raking it.     This is the upstairs furnace room.  It won't be operational until we get the gas line in the next few weeks.  But the air conditioners are already working wonders.     The laundry room is all tiles, the water heater is in, the dryer is hooked up, the washer still has to be set up though.     The master bath is looking better every day.  Rich's mom started cleaning it partially for us today.  It looks TERRIFIC!     Today Mike & Dave put the railing on the deck.  It looks good!     The kitchen is up and running.  We're still missing one cabinet and the doors above the microwave.  But its terrific!     The rest of the outside lights are on, the door bell is on and operational, and the facing on the porch is finished.     Dad came back from vacation a few days early and the managed (Mike & Dave & Bob helped him) to get the back siding done this weekend.     This is the front before the facing on the porch was done, but after joe was done putting the stone on.
